Product Review - Dove Pure aerosol deodorant

It has been a while since I have reviewed a product but I had to review Dove Pure Deodorant.

I have overly sensitive skin, it reacts to everything. So I had try this new antiperspirant from Dove, as it is specifically designed for sensitive skin.

Here's my review:
Dove Pure roll on & aerosol deodorant
THE TEXTURE:  Light spray

KEY INGREDIENTS:
► No fragrance, No parabens, No colourants, No alcohol, 1/4 moisturising cream,

It claims to do this: Dove’s Pure deodorant has 1/4 moisturising cream to actively helps skin put back what shaving takes out.
With no unnecessary ingredients, Dove Pure contains nothing more than you need to keep your skin healthy. Dove Pure provides 48-hour protection.

On my skin, It actually does this: It sprays on lightly and has a really beautiful smell. I had absolutely NO reaction to Dove Pure Aerosol (I don't use roll ons) after trialing it for 1 week.

Dove Pure lasted for 24 hours and felt smooth on my skin.

Dove Pure did leave white marks on my clothes but that was a small price to pay for comfort and confidence.

Dove Pure deodorant last longs and smells good and it does not irritate my sensitive skin.

I love Dove Pure deodorant. It is my new deodorant.

RATING: ★★

PRICE: DOVE PURE AEROSOL RRP $5.25 DOVE ROLL ON RRP $3.89

AVAILABLE: From all good grocery and pharmacy stores

Monday Product Review: Nutrimetics Nutri-Rich Oil

It is important that we use a night cream on our face especially if we have dry skin.

So this weeks product review is on Nutri Rich Oil by Nutri-metics.

Here is my review:

NUTRIMETICS
NUTRI-RICH OIL
THE TEXTURE: Oily ointment type of cream

KEY INGREDIENTS: Apricot Kernel Oil / Vitamin E / Carrot Oil

It claims to do this: Relieves dryness and improves elasticity and moisture retention to visibly reduce fine lines and soothe stressed skin.

It actually does this: Hydrates my skin, leaves it feeling smooth, helps with scarring and dryness

RECOMMENDATION: After a shower, use  Nutri-metics Nutri Rich Oil on your face before going to bed. It will feel  oily on application, but settles after a while. I do not recommend you use this product if you have oily skin

Monday Product Review: LETHAL LIPS - Temporary Lip Tattoos

Well I had some fun on the weekend hosting a South African event called SAFARI @ THE BOOTY BAR in Sydney.  It was such a great night and I got to try out these fab temporary lip tattoos with my outfit. Courtesy of http://www.notgoinghome.com.au/.

Every girl needs to try these! They are fun, different and can add a POP of colour or uniqueness to your outfit.

Created by budding entrepreneur Ruby Jacenko, Lethal Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos pay more than just lip service to the temporary tattoo beauty trend set in motion by the likes of Katy Perry, Jessie J, Lady Gaga and Kim and Khloe Kardashian.

“Your lips say everything about who you are, and temporary lip tattoos are by far the hottest fashion essential” says Jacenko.

Lethal Lips Temporary Lip Tattoos come in a variety of seven fashionable patterns, everything from kiss-me pink to love red roses and leopard print pink.

Over the weekend I tried these:

RED LOVE

Here is my review:

LETHAL LIPS
www.notgoinghome.com.au
THE TEXTURE: Sticky at first, then it settles onto your lips

TO APPLY: I did have issues putting them on, but I am rough and don't have patience so try and be gentle, here are some great tips that I got from Ruby Jacenko

  • Make sure your lips are 100% clean of any beauty product.

  • Stay outside your inner lip waterline (where your lips naturally stay wet)
  • When you find your perfect fit save the backing paper for the top and bottom lip as your own personal stencil.
Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to do!

RECOMMENDATION: Try them, just take your time applying and try to be gentle, use a straw to drink and don't eat anything too greasy as oil removes the lip tattoos. Mine did peel towards the end of the night, but that's because I didn't apply them properly.

Two really good things about Lethal Lips:

1. No animal products are used in this product. All product testing was done on Ruby, not animals

2. $1 from each package sold will be donated to the AIDS Trust of Australia.
Try the Lethal Lip Temporary Tattoos, their FUN!

Monday Product Review - "SENSUALITY IN A CAN" - Nutrimetics Nutri-Rich Moisturising Body Satin

When I was 18, I realised I needed to look after my skin and so I started delving into the world of skin care products.

Nutrimetics was the first skin care range I tried, I think because the local rep would drop a book on our doorstep. I also remember attending friends Nutrimetics parties and even hosting one myself. Now 18 years later, I am still taking care of my skin, however, I mostly use Dermalogica, to cleanse, tone, moisturise & exfoliate.

Over the weekend, though, after so many years, I found myself hosting another Nutrimetics party and wow have their products changed and their range has expanded. Our host Jen, was so well educated and great at selling the products, she made us want them and she was just lovely.

So I have decided to try some and review them. Today I will be reviewing Nutri-Rich Moisturising Body Satin which is a spray on body moisturiser in a can. Nicknamed "SENSUALITY IN A CAN" boy is this product sensual.

Here is my review:

NUTRIMETICS
NUTRI-RICH MOISTURISING BODY SATIN
THE TEXTURE: Light oil spray, silky & smooth, non-greasy

KEY INGREDIENTS: Apricot Kernel Oil / Vitamin E / Lime Blossom Extract

It claims to do this: Nourishes and rehydrates the skin, leaving it looking soft, silky and radiant

It actually does this: Leaves a light oil on my skin, which when massaged in leaves my skin smooth, silky and shiny

RECOMMENDATION: After a shower, spray this on your skin, it smells divine and will leave your skin smooth, silky soft and shiny. For people with dry skin, I would follow with a moisturiser.  I recommend you try it, it definitely leaves you feeling sensual.

Monday Product Review - ABBA Pure & Gentle Conditioner

Today I will be reviewing a very good hair product for woman or men with curly hair.
I have the most unruly of hair types - tight curls. If not well maintained and managed it can go craaazzyy!

About 8 years ago, I walked into a salon and saw a girl with similar hair to mine, except it was very long, well groomed, it looked controlled and it was shiny.

I asked her what she used, she told me all about ABBA, NOURISHING CONDITIONER.

I was estatic, I purchased a bottle from the salon, and have been using it ever since.

It is a CONDITIONING TREATMENT which you can use a CONDITIONER & rinse out or you can use it as a LEAVE IN CONDITIONER.

In the last 3 years ABBA NOURISHING, has had a re-brand with new packaging and a name change, it is now called ABBA PURE GENTLE CONDITIONER. Same product, different name, new look.
Here is my review:

THE TEXTURE: Silky, Soft & Smooth Conditioner

KEY INGREDIENTS: ALOE VERA & FLOWER EXTRACT

ABBA PURE GENTLE CONDITIONER has natural ingredients, so it is great for sensitive skin or scalp.

OTHER INGREDIENTS:
►  Botanical Infusion of: [Water (Aqua) (Eau), Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Prunus Serotina (Wild Cherry) Bark Extract, Lavanclula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Flower Extract, Passiflora Incarnata Extract, Passiflora Incarnata Fruit Extract (*Passion Flower)], Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Glycerin, Lupin Amino Acids (150 mw), Hydrolyzed Soy Protein (1000 mw), Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (2000 mw), Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E Acetate), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Algin, Citric Acid, Limonene, Methyl para ben, Propylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, ABBA Aromatherapy Fragrance (Parfum).

It claims to do this: Nourishes, locks in moisture and provides protection from environmental stresses.  Helps retain moisture.

In my hair, It actually does this: Tames & defines each and every curl.  Provides my hair with nourishment and conditions it. When it drys my curls are soft, when I rinse it out my hair is smooth and silky.

RECOMMENDATION: My hair drinks ABBA PURE GENTLE CONDITIONER, so I buy the 1 litre.  If you have curly hair, untamed hair, I definitely recommend you use ABBA Pure Gentle Conditioner every day as a leave in and once a week as a conditioner, so after you wash it condition with ABBA Pure & Gentle and rinse with and then  towel dry your hair and re-apply as a leave in. You can use it with a mousse but I don't. PURE GENTLE works best with the ABBA PURE GENTLE SHAMPOO.

Monday Product Review - Dermalogica - Multivitamin Thermafoliant

Following last weeks product review of Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant today I will be reviewing Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant .

Ladies and Metro Gents, it is really important that we take care of our skin, especially our face, I have very dry skin, so I have chosen products from Dermalogica to match my skin type.

First we must CLEANSE every day, then we must TONE & then MOISTURISE. It is also helpful to EXFOLIATE on a regular basis. As our skin ages, we should look for products that reduce ageing.

I use Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant every day and I use Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant at least once a week.

It claims to do this: Refines mature or prematurely-aging
skin texture and enhances penetration of age-fighting actives into skin, while advanced technology ingredients condition and treat the skin.

On my skin, It actually does this: Makes it feel clean and fresh, removes dead skin and unwanted oils.

RECOMMENDATION: After I have used the Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution, I use the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, everyday. I then spray the Dermalogica Multi-Active Toner on my face and then I moisturise with Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance. Once a week I use the  Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant.  If you have dry skin I highly recommend this combination of products.

It is a little pricey but it lasts long and is worth it.
