After playing in 3 football Grand Finals, 1 Premiership and 1 State of Origin, Anthony became frustrated with the lack of support from the Australian NRL, for their failure to place him in the Australian team, and in May 2000, Mundine made the courageous move from football to boxing. 

Following his dream to become just like his dad, Australian boxing Champion, Tony Mundine, Anthony was on a mission to take on the WORLD.
