A DEDICATION TO A QUEEN - WHITNEY HOUSTON

Whitney, only four days ago I stumbled across an article with a very disturbing title... and they posted some photos which were meant to degrade you.

I said to myself really loudly - "LEAVE WHITNEY ALONE". I wanted to post a Facebook status saying this, but I didn't want to draw attention to the article.

Two days ago when I woke up to read the news of your passing, I was devastated, shocked, so upset and regretful that I did not post that status update or tweet it.

Whitney, your life may have been troubled, but there was no denying your talent, your voice, your womanhood and your life as a loving mother and strong believer in God.

So today I published this in remembrance of the good times and your happiest moments.....

Whitney Elizabeth Houston
(August 9, 1963 – February 11, 2012)
A woman of style, class, a mother, an artist and described by many as "the greatest voice of our time".

Your discography consisted of seven studio albums, four compilations, and three soundtrack albums, as well as fifty-three singles.

An amazing musical accomplishment.

WHITNEY, YOUR MEMORY WILL LIVE ON THROUGH YOUR MUSIC...

1985: Debut album, "Whitney Houston," is released, selling millions.  With hit songs, "How Will I Know," "you Give Good Love," "Saving All My Love For You" and "Greatest Love of All."

1987: Follow-up album "Whitney" is released. Includes hits "I Wanna Dance With Somebody," "So Emotional" and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go."

1988: Whitney, records theme song for Seoul Olympics, "One Moment In Time."
1991: Whitney returns with a performance of "The Star Spangled Banner" at the Super Bowl during the first Gulf War.

1992: Whitney stars opposite Kevin Costner in "The Bodyguard." The hit film makes Houston a Hollywood star and its theme song, "I Will Always Love You", this song topped the Billboard Hot 100 for fourteen weeks and was certified 4 × Platinum by the RIAA.
You were the first and only female artist to reach this level.
Like the soundtrack, the single peaked at number one on the charts in nearly every country and sold 12 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling single of all time by a female artist.

1992: Whitney Marries Bobby Brown
1993: Whitney has a daughter with Brown, Bobbi Kristina

1995: Whitney stars in the movie "Waiting to Exhale."

1996: Whitney stars opposite Denzel Washington in "The Preacher's Wife."

1997: Whitney, appears as fairy godmother in TV version of Rogers and Hammerstein's "Cinderella."

1998: Whitney releases the album "My Love Is Your Love." Song "It's Not Right But It's Okay" and wins a Grammy for best female R&B vocal. "Heartbreak Hotel" (featuring Faith Evans & Kelly Price) is also released.
1999: "I'm Every Woman" is released.
2005: Whitney appears in reality TV show "Being Bobby Brown."
2009: Whitney's comeback album "I Look To You" debuts at top of charts, and goes platinum.

2009: In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Whitney declares herself drug  free.

The saddest part about your death, besides the fact that you will no longer be here with us, is the fact that you died alone and that your Bobby is now without you. I will pray she takes solace in knowing you are in a better place re-united with the God you loved so much and in the memories she shared with you.

I will pray that you rest in peace eternally.

Thank you for your devotion to the music and your consistent passionate delivery of every song.

We will ALWAYS LOVE YOU WHITNEY.

Angel

Career Highlight: Trey Songz afterparty @ The Bank, Trey came up to me while I was DJing and told me I was a crazy DJ.

What do you think about the music today compared to when you first started Djing: Music today is all about who the artist is, it's nothing compared to the music when I started. When I started, music actually came from the heart, now it's all about guns, money and b#$ches. It has gone downhill, it's not what it used to be.

What can the people expect to hear from you set: People can hear a diverse range of music when it comes to my sets, You will hear, Old Skool Usher mixed in with some Beyonce, bit of Drake, a splash of TPAIN & a side of Lil Wayne :). My sets are usually very energetic.

Get out of trouble track (Dance floor clearing, you drop it the crowd jumps up): At this point in time, the one track that gets everybody dancing is : Danza Kuduro - Dom Omar

What's hot for you right now: Hip Hop is the "IN" thing right now, and YMCMB is killing the charts with everything they do.
