I have managed an artist MIKE CHAMPION for an extended period of time.

I have arranged parties & events, booked artists and promoted some great nights in Sydney and as a result I have met alot of amazing people:

MY FRIEND OF 16 YEARS
ANTHONY MUNDINE

Anthony Mundine, has been my friend of 16 years, stay tuned for my EXCLUSIVE interview with him.

There are plenty more.. Too many to post!

BUT normally, I am not phased really, because we are all equal, we are all human beings.

But for the very first time EVER! I actually have a crush on a modern day CELEBRITY who I have crossed paths with on several occasions.

Series of encounters:

I first met him at one of my promoter friends parties on his first trip to Australia!

FERGIE FERG was also at the party :)
Then I was dancing one day at IVY in #SYDNEY a couple of years later and there he was! He was here filming a movie.

Then he RODE a bike to see me at work the next day!

Then I was in Melbourne a couple of years later and caught another of his concerts & saw him DJ at the AFTER PARTY! We said HELLO! :)

Every time, he has been here I have been dating someone else! I believe in LOYALTY!

This time I'm actually single, I sent him a text, he didn't respond. He's busy I get it
I'm just a girl with a curl! But I honestly have a crush on him.

Mainly for the following reasons:

- 1. He rode his bike to see me, he got lost and still came
- 2. Then he came to 2 or 3 clubs to see me
- 3. He is really sweet, a gentleman, he's shy, he's SUPER stylish
- 4. He is SUPER talented! Like I mean SUPER he plays the DRUMS, he is a DJ, he RAPS, he PRODUCES, he plays the KEYS, he is his OWN BRAND AMBASSADOR, he is INNOVATIVE, he is a FUTURISTIC consultant, he sees the future, he is the future
- 5. He has a GOOD & POSITIVE message which he is slowly spreading through subliminal messages - it's all about the LOVE
- 6. He is a LOVER not a fighter - always positive never negative
- 7. He DID NOT want to go mainstream, but he is using his mainstream success to deliver his message and speak about what is real and what needs REAL attention
- 8. He has stayed TRUE to his ART
- 9. He helps others
- 10. He LOVES his mother

In this day and age it is hard to find MEN or A single MAN who is interesting, intriguing, intelligent, driven, talented, sensitive, shy, who does what he does with his heart and who WILL make a difference!

He has a special kind of POWER! WILL POWER!

I am too shy to actually say his name... I've leave it up to your IMAGINATION! There are heaps of clues.

I am honestly revealing waaayyyyyyy too much... But I wanted him to know that I have a crush! It's JUST a crush... "I'VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU!" :))

Maybe we can have a dance one day & actually go out to dinner, as you suggested all those years ago! :))

FASHION FRIDAY - BRUNO SCHIAVI speaks on KARDASHIAN, BRANDING, THE DESIGN PROCESS & THE POCKET SOCK

Thanks so much for time today.  I am really happy to be interviewing you!

I really love the range you did for the Kardashian Leopard Kollection.

It is great to see a local designer doing so well globally in a competitive market.

For the purpose of this interview, I would like to give my readers insight as to what goes through a designers mind when creating concepts and then how to make a design a globally sort after brand and product.

When did you decide you wanted to be a fashion designer and why?
To be honest, it was not really something I set out to do-become a designer. That is, I was just led in that direction and before I knew it I had a few brands that I retailed internationally.

Where did you train and learn the art?
Well, I actually started by studying marketing in Sydney and then I did design. Marketing has always been my passion. If you know how to market yourself and understand your strengths, then you will go far. I took the lead and followed my gut – which paid off!

You designed the “Pocket Sock” which was the sock with the zipper in the inside of it to store keys and valuables while jogging or going to the gym, what a great idea! How did you come up with this?
The Pocket Sock was my idea when I went to the gym and always used to lose my keys. So I thought, "Wouldn't it be a great idea to have a pocket in your sock to keep your money, keys or medication if you exercised? So the Pocket Sock was born. As the name suggests, it is a sports sock with a zipper compartment. It's very comfortable and very practical.

What did this mean for your business?
The Pocket Sock, because of its success, meant that I could grow and evolve the business. It was a starting block for great things to come.

When did you decide to go from fashion designer to a branding expert?
I’ve always been both a branding expert as well as a designer but the growth of Jupi Corp has meant that I now oversee the brands I have created and work to expand them on an international level.

I thought your company has an interesting name, what does “Jupi” represent?
The name JUPI stems from Jupiter, being the largest planet in our universe. Too many other companies referenced Jupiter so I shortened it.

How did you make your international connections? For me, my connections have been through mutual friends. If you’re passionate and believe in what you’re doing, people pick up on that. I started working with Warner Brothers on Batman Begins through mutual friends. From there I met Priscilla Presley, then Dr Robert Rey, Janet Jackson and of course the Kardashians. It’s all been through friends.

How many brands are you currently managing and what are they?
JUPI Corp currently has 11 brands internationally from the Kardashian Kollection to Biggest Loser Body. In Australia, my brands include Peter Morrissey available at Big W, MensFit through www.mensfit.com.au, DrRey Shapwear at Target.

Bruno, since you are busy managing brands, are you still hands on with the actual designing process?
I am very hands on with my brands – they are all very important to me and I believe in them immensely.

How did you hook up with the Kardashians?
I met the girls through mutual friends about two years ago. We always wanted to do something together and it was just a matter of timings. The time was right when we reconnected.

Are the Kardashians, involved in the design process?
Khloe, Kim and Kourtney are incredibly involved in all aspects of Kardashian Kollection. I’ve really realised that they put their heart and soul into everything they do. From the minute we start putting range boards together for a new line to the time we select the button or the colour of the thread or how the products are going to be photographed — these girls are so involved. That’s why I love working with them. We share the same fire and passion.

Do you primarily create designs to suit each of the sister’s body types?
Of course! When you look at our collection, you can see that there is something for Khloe, there’s something for Kourtney, and there’s something for Kim, but then there is something that all three of them will wear at the same time. We fit the clothes on the models, because the girls have fit requirements. They want to accentuate certain parts of their body and make sure that we cater to every size that’s out there. You know, Khloe’s tall, Kourtney’s petite, and Kim is curvaceous. So they’ve all got different body types.

Where do you draw inspiration from for your designs?
It really depends on the brand and who we’re creating the label for. It’s very specific for each label. For the Kardashian Kollection, the girls of course are the inspiration. For another one of my labels, MensFit, I wanted to create underwear for men that would appeal to any mans taste.

Other designers you like?
Tom FordRachel Roy and I would have to also say Versace and Gucci.
16 years in the game, has the business changed?
It has changed. We have evolved. I have certainly learnt from things along the way – from what has done well and what hasn’t as much. I am now in a position where I am lucky enough to choose the projects that I want to work on - the ones that I am passionate about and believe in.

Tell us about your latest range in the Kardashian Kollection
The next collection has lots and lots of colour. High/low skirts are really hot and we’ve just introduced denim, which has us all excited. In summer we are seeing a lot of vibrant colours like neons, strong pinks, reds and jade. Mixing and matching is still really key.

Bruno, thanks so much for your time, keep the great designs coming, especially the leopard designs, keep representing for Australia, maybe one day you can make a special range for Angel haha J

I wish you every success!

Ladies, good news! SEARS is now shipping DIRECTLY to Australia! So if you like Bruno’s designs for the Kardashian Kollection you don’t have to wait til they hit our stores you can just follow the link CLICK HERE

Sade Australian Tour Mixtape – 2011
Brian McKnight & Dwele Tour Mixtape - 2011
Flavours On Friday Vol. #1 - 2009
Flavours On Friday Vol. #2 – 2010

The list goes on ….. if you’re looking for any of my mixtapes you can find them on my facebook page – In my photo albums there’s an album there called my Mixtapes .. With the album covers and track listings

I have a new mixtape coming out soon ... It’s a promotional mixtape for this years MADE IN THE 90s TOUR! It’s going to be a good one to!

First gig: First club gig was at Red Room @ Hotel Chambers back in 2005

How did you learn the art: My uncle used to be a DJ, he pretty much taught me all the basics. I’ve spent years now perfecting my beat mixing and getting it to the level that I am at now, just from listening practicing and trying things out.

Do you practice at home:  Yes. I wouldn’t call it practice now though but sometimes it feels good to dig up the old records and shake the dust off them.

Your favourite type of music: My favourite type of music would have to be some SMOOTH SOUL MUSIC … any type that is good for two-steppin’

Your favourite track of all time: That is an impossible questions to answer – I just can’t do it

Your favourite artist of all time: This is another impossible question to answer but I do have my list of 8 favorite artists that I need to see live before I die. I’ve almost completed my list – only a few left.   Michael Jackson - Check, Stevie Wonder - Check, Prince, Musiq Soulchild, Dwele - Check, Raphael Saddiq - Check, Maxwell – Check, D’Angelo

Favourite gig:  My favourite gig would still have to be Red Room @ Hotel Chambers. After 7 years of playing old school week in and week out – I never get bored of the music or the crowd. The crowd has changed over the years but there’s always some space for some education

Career Highlight: My highlight so far in my career would have to be playing for Brian McKnight & Dwele – two of my favorite artists and just really nice guys. I’ve played for bigger audiences before but not before artists of that caliber.

What do you think about the music today compared to when you first started Djing: When I first started Dj-ing all the music coming out was still brilliant. Every next track was amazing. These days I’m finding less and less mainstream music that I enjoy listening too let alone playing. Not a fan of changes .. :)

What can the people expect to hear from you set: Really it depends on where some people catch me playing. In every set I always try to drop as much stuff as people either don’t know – or haven’t heard in years. There’s too many Dj’s playing the same stuff these days.

Get out of trouble track (Dance floor clearing, you drop it the crowd jumps up): There’s no such thing as trouble on the dance floor. You can’t please everyone – but as long as one person is dancing to something unknown I’m playing – then I’m happy!

What's hot for you right now: Right now I’m listening to a couple of things that I’m enjoying.. Gregory Porter new album ‘Be Good’ and a new group called The Internet, their album called ‘Purple Naked Ladies’ .. It’s different but I think I like it ..

Radio Show: I have two radio spots people can catch me:
Places the people can catch you:
  • Wednesdays: Play @ Bj’s
  • Thursdays: Boom Boom Room @ Hotel Chambers,Greenwood Thursdays or Sapphire      Lounge
  • Fridays: Marble Bar with Brown Sugar, Eve @ Trademark or The Seed 2.0 @ Docks     Hotel

Ladies & New Age Gents, I will now be reviewing products on a weekly basis.

I have very dry skin, so I have chosen products from Dermalogica to match my skin type.

It is really important that we take care of our skin and CLEANSE every day, so today I will be reviewing, Dermologica, Essential Cleansing Solution.

http://www.dermalogica.com/au/
Dermalogica
 Essential Cleansing
Solution
THE TEXTURE: Fairly thick, rich & creamy

KEY INGREDIENTS:
►Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower): softens and conditions skin. Ascorbyl
►Palmitate (Vitamin C) and Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E): antioxidants that improve skin smoothness and softness, and help control damage caused by free radicals.

It claims to do this: Lifts impurities from dry, sensitive skin while deep-conditioning and soothing irritation

On my skin, It actually does this: Replaces much needed nourishment, leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

RECOMMENDATION: If you have dry skin, I highly recommend this product. I have tried so many different cleansing products but always go back to Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution
